New Winter Themed Music Festival announced for Sudbury, ON

Sudbury Frost Fest, a brand new two-day winter themed concert featuring both country and rock artists at Caruso Club, will offer patrons a unique winter-concert experience with both indoor and outdoor programming.

The inaugural Sudbury Frost Fest includes two days of live music performances between February 15-16, 2019. Friday February 15th’s 'Country Night' will feature Aaron Pritchett with special guests Kira Isabella and David James, presented by KICX 91.7 FM. Saturday February 16th’s 'Classic Rock Night' will feature internationally renowned Glass Tiger with The Spoons and special guests presented by 92.7 ROCK FM. The 19 plus event will take place at Caruso Club in Sudbury, with doors opening to indoor concert performances at 7pm on both evenings.

Preliminary line-up for Budweiser New Music Fest 2018

The 11th annual Budweiser New Music Fest recently announced its preliminary line-up, consisting of Juno Award winning co-headliners The Sheepdogs, Monster Truck & James Barker Band with Juno Nominee and CMAO winners Cold Creek County. The festival takes place September 14-15, 2018 at Grace Hartman Amphitheatre in Bell Park, Sudbury, Ontario. Additional special guest performances are soon to be announced.

The all Canadian, award winning lineup has gained New Music Fest its biggest initial response to date in Sudbury. "The on-sale campaign has received the largest early-bird ticket sales response that New Music Fest has had in 11 years”, comments Festival Director, Paul Fairley. “This is very likely going to be our biggest year yet."

New Music Fest began in 2008 within small venues in Barrie, ON. The festival has since expanded to larger outdoor venues and hosted annual music festivals in Barrie, London and Sudbury, ON, commencing in 2012.

Aaron Pritchett’s “Outlaws & Outsiders Tour” coming to Oshawa Music Hall

CCMA Award-winning country star Aaron Pritchett will be making an appearance in Oshawa on his Cross Canada ‘Outlaws & Outsiders’ tour, touching down Saturday June 13th at Oshawa Music Hall. Joining him are special guests Cory Marquardt, King & Cash and January Lane.

Emerson Drive performing live at Oshawa Music Hall, Saturday April 18th

One of the most awarded Canadian Country Acts returns to Oshawa on their Cross Canada Tilt-A-Whirl Tour touching down Saturday April 18th at Oshawa Music Hall. Emerson Drive will be performing along side support acts Jordan McIntosh and Heather Longstaffe.

In its second week, Emerson Drive’s new single “Who We Are” became the most added song at Canadian Country Radio. Last week the single had the Most Increased Plays on the Canadian Country Charts, rising from #30 to #23 with no signs of slowing down.

Theory of a Deadman, Barrie concert rescheduled to July 27, 2014

Theory of a Deadman live at Sound Empire had recently been postponed as singer Tyler Connolly had been battling complications due to laryngitis, leaving him unable to perform Friday June 6th.

Their local Barrie concert, which has already nearly sold out, has been rescheduled for Sunday July 27th. Few tickets remain. All sold tickets for the postponed "June 6th" date, will be honoured at the doors of Sound Empire (46 Dunlop St West, Barrie) on July 27th. Doors open at 8PM.

The first band to be signed to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger’s 604 records, Theory Of A Deadman have found consistent success as a hard rock band, winning two Juno awards, and four platinum selling albums over their 13 year career.

Formed in 2001 in British Colombia, Theory Of A Deadman earned the respect of the industry when handpicked by Chad Kroeger to be the first band on his label. Big Wreck added to Budweiser New Music Fest Sudbury, to replace Theory of a Deadman

The third annual Budweiser New Music Fest Sudbury headliner concert is nearing a sell out, taking place Saturday June 7th at Grace Hartman Amphitheatre. On the bill includes, Big Wreck (recently added), Monster Truck, The Glorious Sons, Gentlemen Husbands, Golden Gate Graves & local Sudbury group, Echoes the Lion.

New Music Fest organizers had to replace Theory of a Deadman with Big Wreck two days before the festival, following the announcement that singer Tyler Connolly of Theory of a Deadman has been battling complications due to laryngitis, leaving him unable to perform this Saturday June 7th.

"We were absolutely stunned when we heard the news”, comments Paul Fairley, Festival Director. “We’ve dealt with a lot of hurdles in our experience, but never our co-headliner of a festival cancelling last minute.”

Thankfully, festival organizers were able to step up to make sure they deliver on their promise to produce a world-class music festival in the City of Greater Sudbury, even under such unfortunate circumstances.

In a further statement Fairley comments, “We were faced with an awkward decision of cancelling the show while upsetting a lot of excited festival-goers, which isn't what anyone wants. Thanks to Big Wreck, our team was able to save this year's festival.  We appreciate everyone's understanding in the matter and are wishing Tyler of Theory, a very speedy recovery.”

Budweiser New Music Fest Sudbury, will host over 35 live regional and national acts of various genres performing at multiple live music venues. Participating venues will each host three to four established and developing touring artists, collectively sharing multiple festival stages. These venues include: Grace Hartman Amphitheatre, Coulson Nightclub (patio), Cousin Vinny’s, Peddler’s Pub & The Townehouse.
